Hi All,
I just had a quick question to ask. I just got a PS3 this Christmas, one of the 60gb models. I was just going to update it since I know a lot of the updates allow for more compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games. However, a friend of mine recent;y told me that one of the newer updates will compromise some of the backwards compatibility. I wonder if this was true or not? Also, is there anything else I should know before updating? I'm doing my own research currently but figured it would not hurt to ask here as well.

If it's the 60Gb model,it should have PS2 BC,although that one's been out of production for some time.But to answer your question, no, none of the updates remove backwards compatibility.
Hey i have put my account on 9 ps3's and i don't allowed for download anything more and i also can not get of anyone to deactivate my account but i am still torn between spending 6k more for a PS3 from here and some Region free Blu-Ray movies.

what I know, you should not have to update everyone to play more games. laser in this version to play all out of the box, as long as you have HDMI and AV cables. Some games do not play hd.

Playstation 3 is a great console with amazing graphics, but to many minds followers ps3 is-how do I open a PS3? When players are to unlock the console they indicate unlock firmware components for gaming equipment to run backup games.
